| Shot by Both Sides is a music website founded in Brighton, UK, and is named after the incredible hit single by the UK post-punk band Magazine. The site focuses on modern music and is updated weekly with reviews and features. Generally we cover a mix of indie/alternative/ noise/ minimal techno and electronica. We are heavily influenced by the German Kraut rock scene, the 'Japanoise' scene, UK post-punk, and the Detroit techno scene, and such influences inform a lot of the more modern material we try to cover.
The site is run by volunteers and we do not have a full-time editor as such. Consequently there is often the occasional spelling mistake and formatting error, and for that we apologise! Ultimately we hope that this site will dig out something you may not have heard and hopefully you will enjoy it just as much as we do.
If you would like to get in touch regarding anything at all please send an email to enquiries@shotbybothsides.net. In particular we are always on the look out for people to help out with the site, if you think your interests run along the lines briefly explained above then feel free to drop us an email.
Finally the boring bit, the website design and art is all (C) Alastair Hill, and all content is (C) Alastair Hill, Sam Bedford and Thomas Hawkins respectively. Feel free to reproduce anything you want as long as you link back to the page you nicked it from. Also if you could drop us an email to say you're nicking something that'd be great.
