    Pretty damn late on list season here at Shot By Both Sides, but you wouldn’t want it any other way would you? You would? Oh, well tough. Anyhow, for your delectation, the best 10 albums of 2011 in order, rated using pure non-science and hogwash talk. Some astoundingly good records though, of that I assure you!

    I was a bit suspicious when Jonsi decided to go solo from Sigur Ros, but he proved me wrong with a great album that sounded even better live.

    Now he has soundtracked a film about a zoo starring Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson. I am, again, highly suspicious. Here is one of the songs from it. Bit bland to be honest:

    Rest in Peace Bert
    The legendary guitar player and folk singer Bert Jansch has died. Bert was an inspiration to many, from Jimmy Page to Johnny Marr and a dozen more besides. His playing is astounding, and his vocals incredible. May you rest in peace.

    We are back!
    Sorry about the huge delay with Shot By Both Sides lately. As we've documented on Twitter, there has been, how shall we say, teething problems moving into the new SBBS Towers. So thanks for nothing Sky, it's still not entirely sorted, but we will be back up and running from now on. There's reviews of things we missed coming up, such as Eno, Wooden Shjips and Instramental, as well as new things on the horizon such as the new LP from The Field. Apologies once again from all at SBBS.
